Chris joined the Dark Roast Media team in January 2010, bringing with him over fifteen years of web development and programming experience.
 
Chris began his professional programming career as the lead developer of on Online Columbia, an Internet portal and development company in Columbia, MO in 1996. He is an accomplished database programmer with multi-platform experience.
 
Computer Science has long been his passion. Chris wrote his first program in BASIC on a Commodore 64 in 1985. Learning C++ in the early 1990's opened his eyes to an infinite world of digital possibility. For the last fifteen years, Chris has been developing Internet applications and database interfaces. Some of his other interests include chemistry and genetics with an emphasis in bioinformatics and intelligent algorithmic dataset analysis. Further explorations into bioinformatics and genetic algorithms has led to a deep appreciation of coding efficiency and elegance.
 
A longtime opponent of the inefficiency encouraged by desktop system resource availability, Chris truly appreciates mobile programming for its limited resource availability and the resurgence of code that is sophisticated yet clean and simple.
