Dave Zuckerman
Web Developer
Dave joined the TriviaTown crew in December 2006 to build the front end of the Web pages and to help with the overall design and interface. And that's what he does.
Working primarily as a musician during the 1980s and early 90s, he bought his first computer the very year the Internet became available to more than just scientists and scholars. He immediately realized that knowing how to build a Web page could be a worthwhile skill to have down the road. As he wasn't working much at the time, he spent 3 months teaching himself all there was to know about HTML code. Of course, in 1995, there wasn't all that much to learn. Since then, he's done his best to keep up, becoming a master of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. He has also become quite comfortable in the world of Flash animation and video.
Although he has worked for a number of advertising agencies, building everything from simple banner ads to thousand-page Web sites for the likes of HBO, FoxNews and Pfizer, Dave has spent most of his Web career freelancing for a wide variety of clients ranging from Ricola to Richard Pryor.
Born in New York City, Dave has called many cities throughout the U.S. and the U.K. "home" over the years. A political junkie and history buff, Dave also writes political and social commentary, occasionally for a paycheck. And, of course, whenever he has the time and the opportunity presents itself, you will find him on a stage somewhere, pounding on a different kind of keyboard than he pounds on for TriviaTown.
Dave attended the University of Richmond and New York University before leaving the academic life to pursue a musical one. He was considering returning to school just before he discovered he had a career in Web.
