David joined the Dark Roast team in 2009 as a Senior Developer. He has been instrumental in leading the development of the Company's first facebook game, Exorcists vs. Demons. Prior to his affiliation with Dark Roast, David worked as a freelance web developer for over 10 years with occasional breaks to pursue other interests. He spent a year traveling through the United States fund-raising for various charitable organizations dedicated to reducing the prevalence of HIV infection in Africa. The following year was dedicated to working full-time in a homeless shelter in Northern Ireland.
 
David attended university in the Netherlands where he studied International Relations and Diplomacy, but realized his true passions lie in computers and technology. It also helped that he didn't get that State Department gig.
 
David has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Central America and has been everywhere from the dark mountains of Transylvania to the packed slums of Guatemala City. When not working, he usually has his nose buried in a book while listening to British music from the 80's and 90's. Originally from Colorado, he currently resides in San Isidro de El General, Costa Rica.
