Senior Developer

Milton has served as a developer for Dark Roast Media since August 2004. Milton has helped conceive and development numerous elements of TriviaTown's games and overall site experience. He is knowledgeable in algorithmic theory, data structures, large scale visual and audio design, computer architecture and advanced programming techniques.

Milton began his professional life as a software developer at ALK Technologies, Inc., which creates visual mapping solutions. Prior to his work at ALK Technologies, Milton's independent research and development produced two projects: GEA-Pet, which explored the use of XML in accelerating video game engine development; and PUG-Web, which utilized distributed computing and AI algorithms for rapid decision making in an elaborate, data-driven, online gaming network.

Milton grew up on the beaches of Atlantic City along the Jersey Shore. He was pushed into performance and the arts at a young age by his mother, who was the dance instructor for their church. Since the age of 5, Milton has been performing in traditional Greek folk dance troupes at various festivals, exhibitions, and competitions. He also started piano lessons around this age, and continued them for many years until late in high school when he found that other instruments like the electric guitar were much louder, and allowed him to play songs from his favorite metal groups such as Metallica and Pantera. As a teenager, Milton worked in the family bakery, waking up in the early hours of the morning when it was time to make the donuts. He did this until he realized that lifeguarding on the AC Beach Patrol was a better job to be had at his age, and thus joined his high school's crew and swimming teams to acquire the skills necessary to make the cut. In his nine summers as a beach lifeguard in the busy resort, Milton picked up lots of water related hobbies including fishing, swimming, rowing, and occasionally falling off of surfboards. He also enjoys many land based activities like mountain biking, paintball, and even cooking. In his spare time, Milton also plays in a local band and enjoys studio engineering duties, such as recording and mixing music. Milton is not afraid to wear pink.

Milton graduated from Princeton University in 2004 with a B.S.E. in Computer Science.
